Gothenburg Culture Festival is over and the booking is closed!
The City of Gothenburg celebrates its 400th anniversary this year. To join the celebrations, the Gothenburg Museum of Art will provide guided tours of one of the city's most well-known sites. Götaplatsen was named in 1914 but stood fairly unused until the 1920s. Since then, it has been filled with everything from art and music to political demonstrations and partying students.
During the guided tour you will take a closer look at the art museum, the Gothenburg Concert Hall, the Gothenburg City Theatre as well as some surrounding public artworks.
The tour correlates with the exhibition "Focus on Europe. New objectivity 1919-1939", on show inside the museum from June 12th to September 19th. The exhibition presents art from the same era that Götaplatsen took its present shape.
Take the chance to experience the Gothenburg Museum of Art both from the inside and out and get an insight to the interwar periods art and spirit.
