Together with Göteborg Film Festival Open Air, there will be an outdoor cinema at Götaplatsen on August 21. There you can watch the movie Another Round while the darkness descends.
In Thomas Vinterberg’s irresistible drama comedy that charmed the world, four high school teachers embark on a boundless social experiment. With the theory that man is born with half a per mille alcohol too little in the blood, the teachers try to enrich their lives with a constant flow of alcohol. Life seems simpler, more fun at first, but not everything goes according to plan.
Another Round was a huge success in Denmark despite the pandemic. It then won a grand slam at the European Film Awards, the audience award at the Gothenburg Film Festival and an Oscar for best international film.
– Another Round has been a cinematic phenomenon that the whole world talked about during the pandemic, and now that the world is reopening, it is difficult to imagine a better film to show than this festive, twisted and passionate drama. I really long to sit on Götaplatsen and watch Mads Mikkelsen dance this summer evening, says Jonas Holmberg, artistic director, Göteborg Film Festival.
The number of places for outdoor cinema at Götaplatsen is limited and must be booked in advance. You can book your place from 17 August.
